Children's Movement
The Children's movement is made up of all the children in any particular assembly. This is to say that in any of our assemblies where there are children, they become automatic members of the movement. Currently the movement operates more actively in the assemblies in Stuttgart. We are in the process of forming branches in our assemblies in Reutlingen and Heilbronn.
The main purpose of this movement is to train our children to know and fear God. In respect of this, special lessons are held each Sunday for them. This means that parent have to hand-over their children to movement leaders upon entering the church house. The advantage here is that parents have the opportunity to concentrate on prayer and study of the word of God whiles their children are taught lessons that are suitable for their need
The Movement has its leaders and teachers who plan programmes and activities, execute them and as well teach Sunday School lessons.
Leadership: A district leader and an assistant are elected by the district presbytery upon recommendation of the district executive committee. Leaders in the district serve for a period of 3 years subject to review at the end of the term. In the local churches, movement leaders and their assistants are appointed by the respective local presbyteries.
